YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – An art show downtown Youngstown raised money for art therapy services.
Over 100 people packed the Soap Art Gallery. Guests placed bids on different art pieces up for auction. 40 artists participated.
Proceeds from the night will go to fund art therapy services in Mahoning County.
It was a bittersweet night for Terri Digennaro and her family.
Terri’s son Ryan Giambattista, died in an accident three years ago. Ryan was a street artist who loved to showcase his artistic talents.
She is proud that something good has come out of her tragedy.
“People volunteered to help. They wanted it, they said there was a need for it and here we are today. The kids, volunteers. Social media. The organizations that need this. So we are having this fundraiser to start the foundation” she said.
